Unusual things in Mexico!!

After the first night of our vacations in Mexico everything was much better. We´ve had fun!! After several years of not living in Mexico (Since 2000) I forgot about several things. For example

You can drive at over 90 m/h on the freeway without any problem...well watch out with the holes on the road, ha, ha

Gas is also expensive here in Mexico. How long we have to wait before we do this in the US!!

We took our kids to the elementary school where I went as a boy. We arrived to one of the classrooms and as soon as I said ¨Buenos dias¨all kids stood up and answer back in one voice ¨Buenos dias¨, I talked to them for a little while until I remembered they would stayed in that way until I gave them permission to sit. In this town there is only one elementary school and a kinder garden (that´s all) but because there are not many kids they have mixed groups. 1st, 2nd in one room 3rd and 4rd grade in other and 5th and 6th in other.

We didn't bring toys to Mexico for our kids, but do you think they missed them???

Ok, I have to admit I´m not a good fisherman, 99 % of the times that I go fishing I dont catch anything, but this time was different. I even caught 2 fish at a time!!! And my mom who always brags about her ability to fish she did a great job too, but instead of catching fish she got 2 snakes (and that was after our son Daniel said he prayed for her to catch a snake) ha, ha, ha

Perhaps you have heard the story of Moses crossing the red sea with the Israelites, but have you heard about ¨Mooses and the rest the cows crossing the sea??? his happens as we were fishing, a cowboy sent his cows to cross the sea... and they did it.

Hey who took that picture of your speedometer while driving 90 m/h in Mexico.?

Aghh!!

It's usually a good idea to watch uh...the road...when driving 90....no, 93... m/h.

F. Pants, ha, ha, ha. Carla took the picture. I love speeding but I don't love tickets, that's why Mexico is a good place to do it...well, sometimes on hwy 36 going to freeport too but I learned the lesson already (I got a ticket). But now that I have children I behave, 90 m/h is nothing, I used to drive 110 m/h so 90 m/h is slow for me now (at least in Mexico)!!

F. Pants, I forgot to mention one day Carla and I were in Mexico (no children back then) she was reading and looked up when she felt the car shaking...I was only driving at 130 m/h, ha, ha. I was just testing how fast the car could run, and I haven't done it again...

You should see him driving that fast at 3 AM going from Sinaloa to Guadalajara in an old VW... I woke up when I smelled like burned tires. A normal person does from 9 to 11 hours we did like 6.

Hey! They put a TV on the classroom, when I was there, there was no TV, but we were more kids  (Sounds kind of logic… NO TV = More kinds, With TV = fewer kinds… I will think about it)

They don’t need toys there… we use to play who was able to ride for more time a “becerro” (little bull), that’s how Julio broke his wrist; I was the best doing that.

When I didn’t know how to swim and I had to cross the cows for the Canal (how do you say that in English… Water Chanel?) I used to hang out from the cow’s tail and they helped me to cross

See you later Carnaval, Sorry I couldn’t be there to teach you how to fish.

Alvaro, I don´t know the word in english for canal, but I know that the word for niños is not kinds but kids, he, he.

It was not an old VW it was a 94 (and that happens in 1998), it was a 4 year old car.

And about the bull...I never saw you doing it, maybe you confused it with a lamb (like in the picture), ha, ha.

Alvaro, one more thing, When I cought the fish you see in the picture, pay atenttion to the fishing pole I used...it was your fishing pole, and my mom said when you came you didn´t catch anything, that I was the first one who caught one with it...HA, HA, HA

well well well, Remember that I'm "Mexicano" :)
The car was old I said!! hahaha
It was "Chueco", and I'm not talking about an illegal car in Mexico; the car ran like a crab, you know how, with the back to one side of the street and the front to the other, hahahaha.

I used to ride lambs too... I used to use cows as horses.

See you later mister... You can continue using my fishing pole, when I was there on December I was just training it, so you saw how well I trained it, you cought two :)
