Since Carla and I started dating (more than 10 years ago) we were so glad that we were together all the time...let's say we saw each other every day for many hours. I was at college in the mornings and working with her Dad in the afternoons, so she went to "work" with me. My in laws loved me (I think they still do...) so every place they went as a family...Julio was included in the family!!! Then we got married and left for Argentina (6 months after we got married) to a Bible Institute (Palabra de Vida). That was so cool!! We were there getting prepared for the mission field (never thought it would be the USA) We were together all the time in classes, ministry (Carla and I were part of the ensemble and traveled together throughout all Argentina and other countries in South America), etc. It was an internship (we were not working to make money). And our house was like a little dog house ("Peanuts" house).
I remember that at times Carla and I would have just two friends visiting us at our home and suddenly somebody else would knock at the door. We would open the door and after they looked in and saw that we had "people" in our house they would say, "Full house, we'll come later"!! I'm not kidding you, it was that small. But we were very happy. There was no way we could get upset and not see each other :-), it was our nest.
Then after a few years, we moved to our mission field... the USA (at the beggining not knowing it was that), where we had our first baby, Daniel. And now I had to work to make money after 3 years of not doing it ha, ha!!!!! Because of this, we found ourselves not having time for each other...so we established...OUR OFICIAL DATE NIGHT!!! Friday night. So after having 3 children, working in Church ministry, and singing in some gigs (Beauty and the Beast included), Fridays we have our babysitter come to our home at around 6:30pm and we go out on a date.

Last night (Friday) we planned on going to the movie theater to watch "10000 BC" (great movie, by the way) and when we were about to leave, our son Daniel (5 years old) had a conversation with us, and it went something like this:
Daniel: "Where are you going?"
Me: "Son, we are going to watch a movie"
Daniel: "Am I going with you?"
Me: "No, you are staying"
Daniel: "Why?"
Me: "Because it is our Date night, and you're not supposed to come with us, it's a time for Daddy and Mommy only"
Daniel: "Well, that doesn't make me happy, so next time you plan on doing this again just think about that!!"

Ha, ha, ha. Carla and I just laughted about it. See you!

Good to know the movie is good. Seth and I were going to see it last night, but it was raining hard, and it's no fun to walk around this city when it's raining. So we ordered Thai food and watched a movie at home.
Great pictures! Daniel is so cute! Yeah, you better think twice about leaving him out! Ha ha!
And...we also know how it is living in small spaces. We called our first apartment here "The Hobbit Hole." It was REALLY small. But it's fun to look back on. Great experiences you'll never forget.
Fancypants, Yes we like the movie, you will enjoy it. Daniel is the smartest 5 year old I've known (ha, ha, is my son). About the house, that equals to contentment with what God has for us every time...some times we are not, but we have to remember He always gives us his best.
Date nights are the best, and I do agree with you, Daniel is one of the smartest 5-year olds I know! Of course, I'm also biased!
10000 B.C. was the first movie in a while where we actually came out of the movie theater pleased. It was really good.
Looks like you might have a budding Mariachi on your hands!
Great pictures, and thanks for telling a little of your story, Julio. I didn't know that you studied in Argentina to be a missionary. That's awesome!
Carla, of course we are not biased! :-),
About the movie, I was very upset when I missed one of the best parts of the movie for having to go out to answer my cell. Somebody tried to call me 6 TIMES when we were watching the movie, so I thought it was important and finally I went out to answer...somebody had the WRONG NUMBER!!!
Bill, Daniel (our son) loves to sing too, but he doesn't know any mariachi song yet, he knows "I can only imagine" and "I'll fly away" ha, ha. After 3 years in Argentina Carla and I came to USA just for "3 months", were already accepted as missionaries in Queretaro, Mexico, but God changed our plans and...now we are in our promise land!
Wow! That's an interesting love story...I kinda knew it but its better to read it from your own words. Isn't it great to live adventures to the person you love the most?
Mommy and Daddy night, sounds very cool. I'll have to start getting Tilo and Ozzy used to that jaja.
BTW, I didnt like that movie jajaja its a mix of:
Braveheart
Ice Age
300
Brother Bear
Jurassic Park
Apocalypto
But as Pepe Grillo said...Cada cual tiene su gusto XD.
Saludations from the most polluted city in the world.
Anima, I guess you are my dear brother Alvaro, I didn't know you have 2 dogs (I thought you have only Tilo). I agree about the adventures, you are living one with your better half in Mexico City..uhww Have fun there. What is the name of Pepe Grillo in English?? did he really say that, ha, ha, ha. Me pregunto yo????
=) Good question:
Jiminy Cricket, from Disney's Pinocchio.
- I like Pepe better jajaja.
He says that when the arrives to Gepetto's house and ...jajaja, well, you should better watch the movie in spanish.
More saludations!
